Research focus

We focus on the development of electrochemical sensors and detectors designed for the determination of low-molecular-weight substances with environmental, pharmaceutical, and biomedical significance.

We are engaged in three research areas:

  1. design and experimental verification of the properties of functional layers that provide electrode surfaces with sensitivity (electrocatalytic layers) and selectivity (permselective and ion-exchange layers) towards the analyzed substances.
  2. design and construction of electrochemical detectors for flow injection analysis (FIA) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
  3. development of electrochemical methods for the fabrication of nanostructured metallic layers, applicable as substrates for Surface-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS).
